Arbotech%27s+Airboard+personal+hovercraft+gift After our insane pour out of wanting for yesterdays water powered JetLev gift we went a search to find you a cool land based big boys toy. We didn't have to go too far when we came across Australian based Arbotech and their innovative Airboard.

The Airboard featured in the opening ceremony of the Olympics in Sydney (2000) and (since then) has gained momentum amongst the adventourous and deep pocketed of us.

All you have to do is plonk some gasoline into the hovercraft, rev it up and you're good to go on the road. You steer the Airboard by leaning into the direction that you want to turn and it'll take you up to 15-20mph. However it's important to know that it'll go over most surfaces like apshalt, concrete, grass and shallow wet areas but I would not try to cross the English Channel with it - you will fall in and look rather daft doing it.

It'll take about 6-10 weeks to ship and it's made of an aluminum frame, fiberglass, high-impact plastic shell and rubber skirt. If you get one, please promise us that you won't try to jump over someones head with it because you'll end up with Ragu.
